Responsibilities of the Vice President of Outcome

  • Leading, delegating, and supporting the development of practices, procedures, and systems to support a continuously improving and profitable engineering organization.

  • Oversee the design, modification, and improvement of company engineering projects and services; direct the design of testing and maintenance processes and ensure quality control.
  • Delegate and empower Directors to establish technical execution plans, analyze team performance, and establish effective communication with the entire EaaS team.
  • Oversee the Energy Efficiency Application process for EaaS projects to ensure maximum cost/benefit to Bernhard for procuring incentives and to meet any contractual obligations.
  • Work with Engineering Project Management group to establish workload priorities and schedules to meet the outcome of EaaS projects.
  • Review actual construction savings vs. modeled savings to ensure teams are taking the appropriate action to ensure the desired energy outcomes.
  • Coordinate corrective action when EaaS projects are not achieving project outcomes.
  • Coordinate the development of processes to expedite the delivery of energy savings on EaaS projects.
  • Coordinate the development of efficient organizational structure, including the development of knowledge, skills, and abilities; and establish a succession plan to facilitate a steady and efficient organizational growth and efficiency.
  • Perform administrative duties.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management with 7+ years of engineering leadership experience; OR 20+ years of relevant industry experience in Retro-Commissioning or Commissioning with 7+ years of leadership experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Versed in the industry best practices.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare and higher education.
  • Professional Engineer License.

Travel Requirements

  • 70% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Climbing stairs.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Quiet environment.
  • Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
