Overview

*This position can be based out of our Baton Rouge or Metairie offices.

 

The Talent Development Specialist III leads and manages advanced training and development initiatives, mentors and guides fellow team members, and plays a key strategic role in the organization's workforce development. This role is a key player on the Talent Management team with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing succession planning and emerging leaders programs in addition to other talent development initiatives focused on organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:


• Design and deliver complex and highly specialized training programs, which may include leadership development, professional development, and executive-level training.
• Conduct in-depth assessments and analyses to identify complex gaps in employee skills, knowledge, and abilities and develop strategic plans to address them.
• Develop and implement advanced and personalized learning paths for employees, supporting their career growth and skill development.
• Implement advanced methods for evaluating training program effectiveness, which includes analyzing data, conducting surveys, and using feedback to make data-informed improvements.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive succession planning strategy to identify and prepare high potential employees for key leadership roles.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to identify critical roles and create succession plans that align with organizational goals.
• Partner with leaders on individual development plans for identified successors and high potential employees.
• Design and deliver advanced leadership development programs for executives, senior management, and high-potential employees.
• Maintain training data in Learning Management System and other systems
• Contribute to L&D department events & activities
• Works effectively as a team member with business leaders
• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in Human resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field of study
• Minimum of 4 years of HR experience with at least 3 years of specific experience developing and delivering succession and/or leadership development programs to various audiences
• Strong understanding of talent management, leadership development and succession planning
• Knowledge of adult learning techniques, instructional design, facilitation, coaching and consultation
• Strong organizational and project management skills to meet multiple priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office

 

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications


• Experience with UKG Learning is a plus.
• Experience with TalentGuard or similar talent management technology platforms is preferred.
