Overview

Assistant Asset Manager Responsibilities:

The Assistant Asset Manager works with the Asset Manager to review energy usage and strategies to implement best practices for the client account as well as working with the owner’s staff on the O&M and energy usage of various facilities.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Working with the operators at the facility sites including subcontractors, chief engineer, and internal service providers to ensure the facilities operate efficiently.
  • Attending the ongoing training of the Facility Operators.
  • Assisting in maintaining the Plant Operating Manual.
  • Assisting the Bernhard Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) team with the coordination of Engineering Construction Management (ECM) implementation with O&M team.
  • Assisting with coordinating on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts with the remote support services team.
  • Reviewing energy usage on a daily basis for the facility and providing guidance on best practices and modifications of current operations.
  • Managing and directing the day-to-day work of the onsite O&M team.

This position is Full-Time, Non-Exempt, and reports to the Asset Manager.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn processes, personnel management skills, and best practices.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering).
  • 0-2 years of experience.

Travel Requirements:

  • 10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements:

  • Climbing stairs in an office building.
  • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
  • Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
