Overview

The Lighting Auditor II is to perform duties as assigned to complete process requirements of lighting surveys.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys to determine existing facility and lighting fixture conditions.
  • Functions as the eyes of our company while performing lighting audits of facilities.
  • Research and analyze site requirements.
  • Accurately read labels, job site maps/directions, manuals and written instructions.
  • Download and review data collected during survey.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Prepare excel documentation for existing facility conditions based on existing lighting fixture lamp types and controls evaluated on site.
  • Actively attend and participate in-house and external training sessions to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas related to lighting.
  • Must wear personnel protective equipment as required.
  • Must be able to work from all types of ladders.
  • Participate in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities.
  • Hold ethics in lighting design to the highest standard.
  • Uphold Company owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications

  • Applicable skilled trades program in relatable field with 3 years' experience or Associates degree in relatable field with 3 years' experience required.
  • OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification.
  • Experience in computer programs and applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written format.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines while on survey.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to use technology and apps for collecting data while on survey.
  • Ability to access, evaluate, and report hazardous site conditions.
  • Ability to be prompt and punctual to perform duties.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to access, evaluate, and report hazardous site conditions.
  • Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
  • Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical Journeyman.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk five to six miles per day for multiple days while onsite.
  • Ability to grasp, hear, manipulate items with fingers, including electronic devices and keyboards.
  • Ability to lift and carry required equipment not exceeding 40 lbs for an extended period.
  • Ability to reach overhead extending arms with hands higher than the head.
  • Ability to balance, kneel, crawl, lift, push, reach, stoop, and climb.
  • Ability to work in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain or snow.
  • Ability to sit or stand at a desk for prolonged amount of time while in the office.

Travel Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • In- and out of state travel is required.
  • Travel should not exceed more than 50-60% of overall work time.
